Shell Graduate Programme

The Shell Graduate Programme is a leadership development opportunity that develops future leaders of Shell.

If you want to kickstart and accelerate your career journey with Shell, this programme brings you the necessary tools and helps you realise your full potential through on-the-job training, formal training, and coaching.

Shell Graduate Programme tailored for fresh graduates

The Shell Graduate Programme offers, on average, a three-year framework for early career development. The programme offers different paths, giving you better career matches based on your skills and background.

You can experience a spectrum of diverse and enriching learning opportunities that will allow you to accelerate your development.

Beyond formal courses and workshops, these learning opportunities include social learning, interactions with senior leaders, and collaboration with fellow Graduates. You will grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The application process and what makes a candidate stand out

The Shell Graduate Programme’s application process contains only two stages.

The first one consists of a virtual job try-out and an on-demand interview, while the second stage includes a virtual case study session and an interview taken by two Shell employees. You’ll be admitted to the programme if you successfully pass the process.

Shell prioritises candidates who can analyse and propose solutions, demonstrate the will to learn, adapt, and excel, and show the ability to nurture relationships in a highly diverse team.

Importance of self-assessment

While understanding the application process is crucial, it's equally important to reflect on your own strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations. This self-assessment will not only help you stand out during the application process but also ensure that you are on the right path to achieving your career goals.

Reaching your career goals or changing career paths begins with self-discovery. By evaluating your skills, interests, and values, you can make informed decisions about your career trajectory and identify areas for growth and development.

Understanding personal values, interests, and skills

Taking psychometric assessments or consulting with a career coach can help you reflect on your values, interests, and experiences.

Being aware of your values and traits is essential for identifying your strengths and priorities, making informed decisions about your career options, and finding ideal career matches.
