Shell has set up the Computational Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, India to foster cutting-edge Computational R&D.
The Shell India Computational Talent Prize (SICTP) has been established to recognize outstanding computational research by students in Indian academia. The prize will be awarded annually to up to three students with a recent paper containing an impactful and innovative computational contribution. The award aims to encourage computational efforts in every field of science. The Shell India Computational Talent Prize will be presented annually at a ceremony held during the HiPC conference
Each year the intention is to have up to three high quality papers recognized through an award upto Rs. 2,00,000. Winners will also receive travel expenses to attend the HiPC.

The 2016 competition is open for paper submissions until Nov 1,2016. SICTP awards will be presented during a prize distribution ceremony during HiPC (www.hipc.org) conference to be held during Dec 19-22, 2016 at Hyderabad.
